Old-fashioned cast iron window pivot. Pivoting windows have the advantage of high airflow with no need of props or adjusters to maintain the opening angle. One disadvantage is the difficulty of installing insect screens with such a window. Axle mounting plate measures 2-3/8" x 7/8" x 1/8". Axle is 5/16" diameter and 1/2" long. Axle is centered 23/32" behind front of mounting plate and 5/8" from rear of mounting plate. Bearing plate measures 1-3/4" x 3/4" with a 3/8" diameter hole. The axle has about 1/16" play in the bearing hole. To center the axle in the window, the axle mounting plate can be mortised to an appropriate depth in the window jamb. Screws not included.
