Friction stays of this type were frequently used on both inswinging and outswinging casement windows. When the casement window is inswinging, this adjuster would be mounted on the exterior of the window. Due to the fact that it is a telescoping adjuster, it will not interfere with screens. Friction is adjusted by turning the hex nut. See detail below. Manufactured to the very highest standards of brass and stainless steel. Available in 5 finishes with only a 2 working day lead time. Barrel measures 8-1/2" long. Fully retracted unit measures about 11" long overall. Total height including nut about 1-3/16". Height to top of sash mounting plate 1-1/16".
