Frequently screens were held shut with window spring bolts. In practice, these bolts would get gobbed up with paint. This item is similar to our improved #85 Window Spring Bolt. Other options for keeping the hinged screens shut include ball catches, ball tension catches, magnetic catches, cupboard turns, and casement fasteners.
